Guided Tours
Monthly Events
Scheduled once or twice a month, the monthly events are offered in two formats:
Guided tours: a guided visit with our museum educator to discover the current exhibitions.
New À la carte tours: a lecture tour on a specific theme, an opportunity to discuss the works on display and the artists in the collection, according to each visitor’s interests.
By Reservation
“The Classics”: introductory tour of the museum, tour of the exhibition of works from the collection, tour of the current temporary exhibition, family tour, tour for children…
“The Essentials”: designed as a short-format tour, this themed guided tour focuses on a specific subject and is intended for an adult audience.
Finally, upon request, we offer the possibility of “tailor-made” guided group tours: please contact us in advance.
Minimum 10 people – maximum 25 people.
Tour in French: €60 + admission fee.
Tour in English: €100 + admission fee.
Workshops
As part of the “Education” mission of a Museum of France, art workshops are designed by the museum’s visitor services department and supervised by a cultural mediator. Offering a variety of activities, the workshops scheduled during school holidays and weekends take place within the museum, as close as possible to the current exhibitions.
Each workshop offers an activity designed for a specific age group, from introducing the youngest children to art to encouraging artistic expression among teenagers and young adults.
Painting, collage, engraving or modelling: plenty of opportunities to learn and have fun.
Saturday 3 and 17 October – 2 p.m.-5 p.m.
Observe, decipher, imagine, tell a story… then move on to creating your own story in just a few panels.
A fun and enriching experience that develops creativity, observational skills and the ability to tell stories through images.
No need to be an experienced artist: curiosity and imagination are all you need to discover the many possibilities of comics.
Two sessions to learn, experiment and, above all, enjoy creating!

A minimum of 4 participants is required for each workshop to take place.
Lectures
Élisa Farran, museum curator and art historian, gives lectures devoted to the History of Art. Each session takes place on Thursday at 5 p.m.
Autumn series: 1 hour, 1 work of art.
André Marchand, Albert Gleizes and Lucio Fanti are on the programme for this new series of lectures.
Thursday 26 November, 3 and 10 December.

Groups
Discover the Estrine Museum and its exhibitions with your groups, either as independent visitors or as part of a guided tour. The tour themes are varied and allow you to explore the full diversity of the museum.
We are here to ensure that your visit meets your expectations.
Proposed themes:
The Estrine Museum, its history and its collections
Discover the museum, its architecture, its history and some of the emblematic works from its collections.
Duration: 1 hour.
Guided tour of the museum’s collection exhibition: Spotlight on the Collections
Discover the great artists who have shaped the Estrine Museum’s collections: Albert Gleizes, André Marchand, Bernard Buffet, Eugène Leroy and many others, displayed in the historic rooms on the first floor.
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes
Guided tour of the current temporary exhibition

SCHOOL GROUPS
The Estrine Museum features a wide range of artistic styles and movements, from Cubism to the post-war avant-garde. This variety provides an opportunity to introduce students of all levels to the major milestones in painting, concepts of art history, the distinctive characteristics of individual artists and different types of representation…
In order to meet the needs of each class, the museum offers:
Guided tours: designed to help students understand the role of a museum, develop their observational skills or expand on concepts covered in class, guided tours are available in different formats (introduction to the museum, themed tours, etc.).
Tour-workshops and hands-on activities: lasting 2 hours, tour-workshops and hands-on activities provide an opportunity to put into practice the different concepts covered during the visit.
Practical workshops: longer than the tour-workshops, practical workshops are organised for a minimum of 3 hours. This working time allows students to use other tools and media, interspersed with visits to the museum rooms related to the proposed activity. (As the museum’s educational workshop cannot accommodate an entire class, students will carry out their work in groups. This organisation should be planned with the teachers prior to the activity.)
Medium- and long-term projects: in consultation with teachers, a longer-term project can be developed over several months or throughout the entire school year. Whether with a single class or the school as a whole, tailor-made workshops and visits can be organised around a specific theme, work of art or artist. As the culmination of this collaboration, a presentation of the work produced by the students is planned.
